Boshan Lake

Boshan Lake, known as the "Lijiang of Central Plains ", is a National Water Conservancy Scenic Area, a national Forest Park and a provincial scenic area, like a gem embedded in the world. There's an old saying "beautiful water in the world is collected in this lake". It is located at 40 kilometers south of Zhumadian, east of Beijing Zhuhai Expressway and Beijing Guangzhou railway, and close to the 107 National Highway. The main scenic area covers an area of 88 square kilometers. The protection zone covers an area of 150 square kilometers. The forest coverage rate reaches 92%. The lake is a great tourist resort and is nearly 40 kilometers long. A sea of mist covers the vast expanse of water and with the sky and water merging at the horizon, it looks like a dragon playing a pearl from west to East. Thus, it's also called "Dragon Lake".
